The core of Peptide Music is our fascination and love for guitars and basses. Since true quest for tone on recordings and live gigs became second nature it was a natural process that other musicians and companies started to ask for advice and our services to make the recording process and sounding great become easier.

A great sound starts of course with an inspired musician playing the right instrument for the part you want to put down. These instruments have to be tweaked to squeeze the best out of it.
If the instrument is in good shape by a luthier we’ll go over neck tension, the right strings, playability, string tension, vibrato springs, intonation and especially the balancing of volume, tone and depth response of the pick ups to get the sound exciting. These things are tested on the amps you are using and adapted to the taste and environment of the sounds and styles you want to put down. From deep blues to grinding metal, from authentic country to avant garde sound scapes.
